Archaeologicalexcavationusingmodemscientifictechniquesas ancillaryaidsis one of the Institute'sprimary tasks.Theseactivities,whichentaila freshappraisalof previousdiscoveries,havealreadyyieldednew historiandarchaeological evidencewhichis addingto ourknowledgeof the pastandof its bearing cal, architectural, on the modemworld.
